If I'm not mistaken, it actually points to the .sh scrip[t which in turn opens Yuzu. The script is better than pointing directory to the app; as it will check if you have an EA version and open that instead when/if applicable. I also have been able to add code to the script so it backs up my saves to a zip file when I open Yuzu.
