The solution that was given in this original post was to Disable Hardware Acceleration. When I looked in my discord settings, I already had it turned off. The problem still persisted with it off for me. After the last time it happened I decided to completely uninstall the program and reinstall it. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the problem either.
