Destiny 2's newest weapon type is the Glaive, a Special weapon that can melee targets and fire energy projectiles. They fit a role similar to Swords, capable of absorbing enemy fire before laying out a few powerful melee strikes. Unlike Swords, Glaives can also deal damage from afar, making them a jack of all trades weapon type.

Also, you don't have to be on a specific character for the patterns to drop (i.e. Titan glaive pattern can drop while running Warlock). It took me 3 weeks of grinding Master Wellspring to get the exotic warlock glaive to drop, the hunter one took about 2 hours, it's rng and that's all it is. Awful and weapon crafting blows. While most of the materials are relatively easy to get in Destiny 2, players will need a couple of Exotic items called Ascendant Alloy before the Edge of Action can be built. Bungie locked an exotic weapon with very low drop rate behind an activity to boost its usage. Those things are not worth 100 runs, Bungie should up the drop rate because its not comparable to a raid exotic in the slightest.

RNG means you could get 5 exotics in a row or run 30+ without one, and on an infinite timescale it all evens out. There was someone that did a bunch of Lost Sector runs and it seems that Legend lost sectors have a 25% chance while Master lost sectors have a 33.33% chance. If you stop you won't ever get it.
