Mechanic replaced the coolant sensor and ac compressor. It seem to run great now. Hello, the green key light flashing typically would indicate a lack of properly programmed keys. Since the vehicle is running, I'm not sure why the key light would flash. If the vehicle is operating properly, I'd probably just continue driving it without worry.

My car won't start this morning. It's a Honda civic ex 2010. I've never had problems with it before. Sometimes the green key light flashes. A quick Google suggests switching keys due to a bad chip in one, but that didn't make a difference.

20 posts · Joined 2018. #11 · Apr 21, 2018. Sooooo, i bought another ECU, ignition lock, immobilizer and key from another '04 Pilot. I'm going to switch this out tomorrow. This swap should narrow it down to either an issue with the ECU/ignition lock/immobilizer/key or an electrical problem/short in the steering column.
Hence decided to remove battery and trickle charged it for 24 hours and it was good. When refitting earth lead alarm comes on and stays on with short periods of silence in between. Engine will turn over but the green flashing key symbol comes on which means engine is immobilised due to fuel being cut off. Alarm noise is coming from boot area.

The green key light that is flashing is actually not related to AC at all, it is in fact an anti-theft feature meant to protect the vehicle from being stolen. It was in-fact the not the key not the immobilizer but the pcm.
