Many other companies besides PSA and BGS don’t have a thorough process at grading and if the card doesn’t look like it’s been in a war zone it’s a 10. But even with that PSA and BGS have been unreliable in the past few years with cards being graded 8.5’s and then the recipient resending and the card coming back a 10. That company’s CGC has been the gold standard for comic grading for years though you will hear complaints about their grading. On the comic side I believe they brought in a lot new staff to get through the pandemic boom and backlogs and I’m not sure how standardized their human grading was/is. I’m ready for AI for all grading. Yes, very good.

A BCCG 10 is essentially the equivalent to a PSA 9 or above by definition. The grades aren't necessarily fake like others are saying, but they aren't as scrutinized so if you were to crack the slab and get it graded by a different company it could come back as any grade 8 or better.
