Moonveil doesn't so much one-shot as insta-stagger a lot of enemies with the weapon art (the R2 version). A lot of tough enemies get staggered by one L2+R2 and then killed by the critical hit you can follow up with, and a good number of bosses get staggered in like two or three hits from it, too.

It's a DEX/INT weapon, if you're pure DEX you probably shouldn't bother with it. If you're DEX/INT it's basically broken though. High damage, high bleed, and its unique skill is a better version of Unsheathe that shoots projectiles stronger than most actual sorceries.

I am katana lover and I basically finished all souls games with katanas. Nagakiba has great damage, nice moveset and oh my god the reach on R2 wow. I enchanted mine with occult and Bloodhound Step and basically no other weapon was better. I even tried Eleonora's Poleblade and Rivers of Blood but still in the end switched to my Nagakiba.

i played with the carian knight set found in lucaria academy whole way through. ive tried a few spells but i found nearly all sorceries rather lacking to be honest. at the end while i wanted to play a spellsword archetype character i ended up being basically a melee that scales with int. but to be fair the moonveil katana and the moonlight ...
