Hi, I have a chance to purchase two hammer Parker, one is serial 41391 and is in decent shape, w/ejectors, metal smooth, no rust or pits and is a 10 gauge. by the guide in the collectors info made in 1884# 2 is serial number 143567 and is a 12 gauge, almost the same as above, made in 1907.I think I showed these before,, picked them up for $5 at a gun show,, still unopened. I think they were from the 60-70 era. And no, never used a gut hook, ain't that what fingers are for? Seriously, I fillet the breasts and legs off birds leaving the wings, guts, etc, still in the body cavity.

Estimated 40,000+ birds over my "career". My go-to load was the Federal Flyer, or Gold Medal in the above settings, only with #8 shot. Here are a few photographs of a Semi-Steel, Solid Bar, 229X Parker vise, showing 1908 and 1910 patient dates, with 3 1/8" smooth jaws that came from the pattern shop at the Fox Company. As mentioned, the gun has incredibly modern dimensions: the stock is 14 1/4" X 1 5/8" X 2". Barrel is exactly 30" and total weight is 7 pounds 1 ounce! Balance is 5 5/8" ahead of front trigger. It's amazing to realize the double as we know it had reached its final form 200 years ago and for all practical purposes hasn't changed since.

A 1925 and 1922 Vintage pair of B's with engraved screws. Both are 12 bores, the 1922 is a 3 frame.
