With paper Magic I have been mostly doing sealed and draft similar to what I practice in Arena. Now I want to get into paper Pioneer due to its non rotating nature. I would hate to drop money into a standard deck now and then it rotates later this year. I have 45 rare and 20 mythic wildcards.

The problem with discard decks is they are inherently weak to top decks while top decking incredibly poorly. When you spend all your cards and get rid of all your opponents cards, you have achieved your goal of creating a game state that is terrible for you.
