Most likely, your serial number will have a K in it, at the fourth position (like 130Kxxx). If it is a later Model 19-5 (post 1983) it will have three letters and four numeric digits. Nickel finish was fairly common on model 19s, but if it looked good shape when you bought and is now flaking I`d consider it suspect. Either way, it looks as if you model 19 was produced between 1970-72. The model 19 is a blued or nickled 6 shot K frame chambered in .357 Magnum.
