Honestly, the Subaru CVT is noisy. Even with the added transmission soundproofing cover (2014 +) you can still hear the metal mesh belt grind sound and some buzzing. I took it to the dealer and the service rep said that it is just the catalytic converter/exhaust cooling down. However, it was not like this when I first bought it last month.
