My main base sits above the pond on the cliffs just southeast of new asagarth. I have started having thralls, horses, and pets all disappear from my base. They still show up as being there on the map. In most cases, the nics were standing on the actual ground, rather than on a foundation, though it has happened both ways.
But I just found this post. I figured out that when you use the zoom tool on the map (PS5) it gets rid of all of the white icons on the map except for the Track Follower tag. 1.- no different between foal types. 2.-. Yes, all vanilla horses run same speed. 3.- saddles saves stamina, but does not boost speed. 4.- type of horse and stats are random. only some mods gives faster horses. The only difference is the stat percentage (chance to gain a point in the stat).

To sum it up: Grab some health potions and bring an enemy near the exact spot where your Thrall/Horse is. Allow the enemy to chase you around that spot. Punching the enemy once or twice will reveal the HP bar of both the enemy and your Thrall/Horse as separate health bars.
