The newer CVA's are a little bit better quality than the older ones were but still let the old adage of "you get what you pay for" ring true, at least the ones that I have worked on. Some are really good shooters and others I have had a hard time keeping on paper at 50 yards. Same set up, 90 grs blackhorn with 250gr bullet and that black harvester crushed rib sabot produces almost 5 holes touching at 100 yards. I do wish the stock was a 1/2" shorter on this gun and it seems to kick a little harder than the Impact. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

I bought a CVA Optima many years ago. I love it. I hear the Accura is great but have never shot one. I highly recommend Blackhorn 209 powder. The Nitrofire is less expensive than the accura MR-X but a little more than the optima. Just seems like a simple easy to use system and maybe more consistent since the fire sticks are all done at the factory and should all be exactly the same weights of powder in each one. My Wolf will shoot 100 loose grains of 777 with a MMP sabot and 305 grain lead bullets and WW209 for about $.80 a shot powder and all all day long into 1.25 inches at 120 yards.

The CVA Wolf works great with 777 under a 100grs. For magnum loads the CVA Optima is better because of the longer barrel. The CVA Optima is just more gun you can tell by holding it.
