The 700 r does have a lower first gear and a taller final drive. So your 4.10 might become a 2.90. The GV final drive is .77 while the 700 I think is like .7. The pumping losses of that probably negate or are worse than the OD section being in front of the main geartrain. The install is not as straight forward as I thought. Just more wiring than I realized. Nothing bad. I also bought a G-Force cross-member that is "Supposed" to be made for the TH-400 and the gear Vendor unit - Model: RCAE-GV. For somebody just wanting to cruise around and not beat on their car the 700/4L60 works fine. A 2004R is a better transmission because it's stronger and has better gear spacing.
