Heavy hull @ 1600 lbs naked with a 17* deadrise, draft is definately not microskiffish-say 12" loaded. It was solid and dry for a 16' but not fishing friendly. This is an amazing example of a very rare 1985 Hobie Power Skiff. This cult classic boat is desired by divers and fisherman nationwide and has acheived cult-like status among in-the-know sportfishing and boating enthusiast forums across the internet. This 15' 2" modified V hull has a 5'9" beam and 7" draft.Bateau SK14. 14' 7" long, 51" wide. Built with Okoume plywood, Silver Tip epoxy, Awlgrip primer and paint, fully glassed inside and out, and has a Graphite bottom for Oysters. Dry storage in bow section. Self bailing at rest. The Solo is rated to 5 HP and most guys seem to put a 6 HP on it. That extra weight may seem inconsequential on paper, but it really matters when you have to lift it up into the truck bed along with half of the boat. If you want that bigger engine, you might want to think about whether the Solo is really what you want.
