This will be our first trip to St. John and the USVI.We are staying at Gallow Point. Aside from driving around the island is there any practical need for a jeep while we are there? Tortola vs. St. John, USVI. My husband and I are having a hard time deciding between staying on Tortola or St. John's ( USVI) for our vacation. We plan on spending about a week in May (to avoid hurricane season and hopefully some out-of-school crowds). Both islands look beautiful and I know the ferries can take us to both USVI and BVI.
