My steam deck was initially estimated to arrive 7/7/22 (tomorrow), but it got updated to arrive 7/6/22 (today). It didn't arrive today, and now is updated to 7/8/22 (Friday). I think I figured out why. They went in the wrong direction haha. It started in near Chicago, and is now in MO (I live on the east coast). FedEx officially lost my Steam Deck. I was a part of the July 4th group, with the 512 GB model. Package was supposed to arrive Saturday the 9th, reached the delivery center 30 minutes from my house, and then nothing. Finally after 3 days of communication through Twitter FedEx Support, the told me they could not locate my SteamDeck.
Damn, must be another instance of FedEx doing shady stuff. This person was definitely a new Deck that was being delivered to Canada as I was concerned I would have to pay duties or something. I mean I wouldn't be shocked for some to just shrug it off when they just want their deck. It's poor strategy that reeks of "We are not confident in our product enough to go into mass production", and if you care about the future of the Deck, or a potential Deck V2, you should wish upon a star that they market it to non-steam users, otherwise it's gonna go the same way as the Steam Controller, except the Deck didn't deserve that. What they do is bid the routes out and whoever comes in the lowest gets the route. Its hard to notice because they still drive fedex trucks and wear fedex uniforms but if you look on the truck it should have something like JR's trucking or XPV delviery.
