The Alpha is smaller in thickness and a much softer grip. The Grip material is harder. I would say the Alph is slightly more comfortable than the Grip. That's not to say the Grip is uncomfortable though. Weight wise the Alpha is heavier but not in a bad way. The Alpha feels more premium with an almost all metal build.
