Feb 11, 2019 · I'll have to remove the fuel filter assembly to be able to get at the bolts. What I did was electrically energized the solenoid directly from the battery with a couple jumper wires. It picks up and seems to want to hold, but still no start. I'm assuming the 3 wire solenoid has a "Pick Up" coil and a "Hold In" coil. Have since changed the complete engine harness. Fuel shut off solenoid still works, but at times requires several start tries before the "hold" function of it works. The drain at the bottom just didn't feel right.
