Hello all. Today I messed up and got scammed on my Instacart shopper account. If you are an Instacart shopper I wanted to post this out there so others don’t get scammed. I took an Instacart order and they said they needed to give their wife my phone number because she didn’t have access to their account and he was in a business meeting.

Instead, the shopper completed my order in a matter of seconds, added multiples of most items, raising my order total by well over $150, texted me saying he'd been in an accident and then never delivered my order. Instacart customer service, as usual, has offered 0 help, other than saying "we'll have someone call you in a few minutes".To make it even better they shaft all other shoppers for a solid 1-2 weeks to give priority to these new people of which 90% are gonna flake out within 2 months anyway. But his criminal friend takes it. When delivered, instead of “leave at door” there is “can’t find the customer” option.
