Dares of eternity is very bugged right now. I haven't had any experience with the cabal or vex ending fights in dares, but the hive one will not ever end. It endlessly spawns edgekeepers after the aspects of crota have been killed. It's getting kind of annoying.

If you want a good armor roll with legend dares, run a armor mod too like mobility armorer. If you want more experience, run the experience mods. Legend dares won't be too difficult to find groups for. Because of the fixed enemy rotation every week, it's really quick to run since you can reliably have starhorse's favor for the second round and the boss. I've been farming legend with LFG groups instead of jumping into normal mode with matchmaking.This week's legend Dare is: Taken, Cabal, Vex, one of the fastest combos. I have my fastest run around 7:46 min. So go ahead and grind your rank before the next expansion. The only thing that makes a difference is doing them consecutively and what rank you currently are. Legends is faster and you get a bonus if you don't leave, but regular is longer, more loot, and basically garuntee you don't lose your streak bonus if you just go between dares and the treasure place.

Sure, legend dares was difficult at the beginning of the season while everyone leveled up, but at this point I find it no more difficult than before. It's usually my go to game mode to chill out.
