He was born June 9, 1951, in Surry County to the late Clyde Preston Bledsoe and the late Ola Marion Bledsoe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Cox; brothers-in-law, J.E. Cox, and Jackie Fuchs.
