I keep both items in my inventory, but when i click on the fire, the option to light the fire only appears for the lighter and matches. If you just head straight to the woods it will be pretty rough, you will probably die of thirst, starvation eventually. Its doable but you will need some afew things from town. Mainly a saw, screwdriver, a cooking pot, tarp for a tent, ripped sheets and nails/twine/wire for building traps.Currently you can use a knife or screwdriver to craft a notched plank out of logs, bypassing the need for a saw to make planks. It's moot, because you still need a saw to make a sturdy stick out of planks, but it seems inconsistent, because if I can make a notched plank out of logs, I should also be able to craft a sturdy stick out of logs.
