I just bought a normal alg hammer spring. Gunsmith did the rest, he explained to me that the alg trigger simply wouldn't work with the galil stock hammer spring. Hope it helps. The ALG defense galil trigger is back in stock on their website and the IWI website.
I had the same problem on my Gen 2. If you remove the dust cover you can watch the action. Dry fire, keeping the trigger depressed. Rack the bolt carrier and watch closely while releasing the trigger. I had to file a tiny bit of material from the underside of the hook part of the disconnector.
