Loud noise in 2WD not in 4WD. A few months ago I started getting a random gear grinding noise for a few seconds that would be resolved if i switched into 4wd. I had it in a couple of times at the dealer and they replaced a few 4wd components (hose,soleniod,actuator,hub). Ever since, it now has a loud whining noise all the time in 2wd.

If it is the IWE grinding it's not urgent but it'll eventually grind itself out and the hub won't lock when you put it in 4x4.
