This is the first vehicle (of many) that I've owned where I couldn't do this. I am soo frustrated with this vehicle, I could spit. I have owned this van for 3yrs and 2 months and have had MULTIPLE problems. The current issue is both the driver's side door lock actuator and power window. First, the window quit working....not that big of a deal (don't have money to get it fixed and I'm at 66,000 miles which puts me past the warranty limits).This is a normal anti-theft feature. Some of the lower model Soul's don't have anti-theft, therefore it doesn't do it. The way to get around this is to press the UNLOCK button on the DRIVER'S DOOR SWITCH. It will over-ride the anti-theft autolock. I do this as a habit in the shop on all vehicles.
