The mr920l was bone stock with a threaded barrel, the mr920 had a tlr7 and a trigger job that was nice, 3.5lb pull with a rolling break and it was easy to shoot fast and helped with accuracy. So it made it even harder to decide. I was trying to focus on recoil and they both seemed so similar.

I picked up a MR920 combat with a threaded barrel and Holosun 407C for $550 last year. I added a Radian Afterburner + Ramjet for a total investment of $850 as pictured. This gun is what had me looking for a good deal on a XR920. Last night I picked up a XR920 Elite with a threaded barrel, Harrington Arms compensator, and Holosun 508T for $850.
That's just my opinion. Ended up modding my Glock 19 gen 5 to my liking and it's night and day a better gun than any shadow system. I'd definitely hold a Glock 45 and Xr920 in person if you can. Many SS users have said basic parts will need replaced much sooner on SSs than on glocks.
The vp9 mags are more expensive. The vp9 accessories and aftermarket doesn't compare. For the vp9sk in particular, mounting an optic is a whole thing. Just figure out which glock you like and go for a Shadow Systems that is the equivalent clone in my opinion. MR920 is a Glock 19, XR920 is glock19x, DR920 is a Glock 17, then there is the CR920 ...
