Apr 24, 2023 · Two games in a row, the Shard Grand Dragon kills my planet because I "didn't challenge it" in time (paraphrased). It was impossible to challenge it. I sent my fleets to the system immediately when it appeared --distance 7 hyperplanes. I didn't get half-way there before I got notice it turned on the colony because I didn't challenge it. In this game, I am getting very few planets spawning.

I think you have to kill the dragon (which is the shard btw) to get the Rubricator. That is obvious. My problem is, that it didn't spawn. It's clear by now that it's bugged in my case, but as for whether some in-game circumstances lead to this, or my mods caused this (and so far only) problem, it is unknown. #15.
