However, I find that spear special works best with Ares, Zeus, or Dio, and this hammer wants you to have a regular damage% boon on special. Still a solid hammer if you get it early enough to take the right kind of boon though, or if you already have it.

The second fastest Hades speedrun was achieved with a melee Achilles build, so clearly that is extremely strong as well, but I use it exclusively as a cast weapon. If all you're buffing with the +150% damage boost is 3 or 4 casts then 4 moves is plenty.

It it THE best Achilles Spear for cast builds imo. I tried cast builds like Hunting Blades, Blizzard Shot with Sea Storm, Crystal Clarity (beam), Ice Wine with Scintillating Feast, and even Freezing Vortex. Believe me, it works too well.
