You’ll notice the maps are the code names so it’s like ZM_western instead of the actually making name which can be confusing to know which map it is. Plus the maps tend to be much less optimised Exactly. Modders/Mappers are just not experienced enough to create a map as optimized as the original maps. I can run all BO3 Zombie maps at 144fps, meanwhile I struggle with many custom maps to stay over 100fps and in some maps I get annoying stuttering. This will be even worse on consoles.
