The transmission range switch could cause both of these problems. There is a small cover that can be removed on the left side of the shifter housing. Remove it, put the key in the ACC position. You can use a screw driver to release the shift interlock system manually. To get the transmission out of that mode once it is shifted to neutral, turn the key 3 times. That will put the transmission back to normal driving mode. if this doesn't work, then a tow is needed. Hopefully, the key cycle will get it out of gear so you can get it to a shop to get the clutch issue resolved.
