The wiki has a helpful breakdown on the Giant's Foundry page. Basically there's "mould" points and "metal" points, and the number of steps in a sword only depends on the "metal" points. The two points get added together at the end for your final score. At 90 "metal" points a sword becomes 6 steps long, and 14 Addy/14 Mith gives 95.Default moulds give average of ~34 quality and BIS moulds give average of 59 quality. It takes 92 vs 80 rune/addy swords without vs with BIS moulds. Takes 113 vs 98 mith/addy swords without vs with BIS moulds.
