They don't crouch when searching. They stop from a sprint and slide. They slowly look around as they move, rather than checking spots. If you're a scav, and voiceline in their presence, they say something back. PMCs never respond, or they give themselves away. Only way to tell player scavs from PMC's is by their clothing, or voicelines.
SCAV ai will not have a pouch slot. SCAV player will have a pouch slot. I have been playing a lot of scav lately trying to get scav karma and just having a great time in 9/10 raids I'm trading loot and joking around with other cheeki breeki's. I want to try and get an extract together with a PMC for that sweet sweet karma and the fence rewards but haven't had any luck so far.
