I almost feel like this is an attempt to scam Instacart rather than myself, since it will be refunded and I was never charged more than the original $60 hold fee.

Instacart said it was a popular scam. eBay was able to find the account associated with the gift card, including the address used for shipping and forwarded it to the police.
