Princeton is stronger in a wider variety of fields than caltech, if you get to Princeton and decide that you want to do something besides engineering you'll be fine as well, I'd definitely choose Princeton. It's a combo win; it's better for a wider variety of studies, you're getting more money, and their engineering program is still solid.
