When you added the class, you should have seen a button called drop. You had a deadline to drop without a W, you missed it. Now if you drop there’s a W. If you're a graduate student, as long as you submitted it before the deadline you should be fine. If you did, it'll be dropped based on when you submitted it.I would say contact your professor and that course department on what to do next.
